PULASKI MAN DIES, CRASHES ON I-81

A Pulaski man died of natural causes, and his car then crashed on Interstate 81 on Saturday morning, according to the Wytheville office of the state police.

Perry James Slaughter, 65, died as the result of an apparent heart attack, police said.

Slaughter's vehicle wrecked near mile marker 92 in Pulaski County just before 10:30 a.m., police said.
