OBIT FOUTZ, EMMA ATWOOD

FOUTZ, Emma Atwood, 84, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 27, 1993, in Friendship Manor. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a retired cosmetician from Leggett Tanglewood, a former active member of the P.T.A. and a community volunteer. Surviving are two sons and a friend, Douglas Atwood Foutz and Vickie P. Griffin, Roanoke, Ronald Woodard Foutz, Roanoke; two granddaughters, Lori Suzanne Foutz, Jennifer Marie Foutz, both of Roanoke, and several nieces and nephews, including Sam Bickford, Roanoke, Martha Duck, Boston, Mass. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, from Lapsley Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Dean Smith officiating. A private interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, (P.O. Box 8538, Roanoke, Va., 24014) or Alzheimer's Disease, (Roanoke/Salem Chapter, ADRDA, P.O. Box 5014, Roanoke, Va., 24012). Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
