OBIT FOUTZ, EMMA ATWOOD

FOUTZ, Emma Atwood, 84, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 27, 1993, in Friendship Manor. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a retired cosmetician from Leggett Tanglewood, a former active member of the P.T.A. and a community volunteer. Surviving are two sons and a friend, Douglas Atwood Foutz and Vickie P. Griffin, Roanoke, Ronald Woodard Foutz, Roanoke; two granddaughters, Lori Suzanne Foutz, Jennifer Marie Foutz, both of Roanoke, and several nieces and nephews, including Sam Bickford, Roanoke, Martha Duck, Boston, Mass. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, from Lapsley Chapel, First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Robert Dean Smith officiating. A private interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, (P.O.
