OBIT BROWN, SARAH ELIZABETH

BROWN, Sarah Elizabeth, 80, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, November 25, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd P. Brown Sr., and two grandchildren, Russell and William Brown. Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dorothy B. and Preston Monroe, Landover, Md., Sarah B. and William Davis Sr., Bedford, Mary V. Brown, Washington, D.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd P. and Mary Brown Jr., Roanoke, James E. and Erma Brown, Washington, D.C.; one sister, Mary Will Butler, Washington, D.C.; one foster son, Clarence Young, Morristown, Pa.; 27 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday at the Otterville Baptist Church, Bedford, with the Rev. M. Darnell Mays officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the church. The remains will be placed in the church by 6:30 p.m. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
