OBIT DIEHL, WILLIAM PAUL SR.
DIEHL, William Paul Sr., 94, of Roanoke, died Sunday, November 28, 1993. He
retired as a manager for Mick or Mack. Mr. Diehl was a member and former
Deacon at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah
Worley Diehl. Surviving are one daughter, Frances D. Griffin of Williamsburg;
one son and daughter-in-law, William P. Jr. and Mary Jean Diehl of Winchester;
seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three
sisters, Martha D. Riddle, Sara D. Riddle and Lyda N. Via, all of Staunton. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Rescue
Mission of Roanoke, 402 Fourth Street, SE, Roanoke, VA 24013. Funeral services
will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel by Dr. Charles
G. Fuller. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will
receive friends from 3 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Oakey's North Chapel.
