BLANKEMEYER-VERRIER
Elizabeth Ann Verrier and Franklin William Blankemeyer, Jr. were married
December 4, 1993, in St. Andrew's Catholic Church. The officiating clergymen
were the Rev. James Parke, assisted by the Rev. Joseph Metger and the very
Rev. Sam Matarazzo, O.P., of New York. The reception was held at Hidden Valley
Country Club. The maid of honor was Miss Linda Marie Dunstan, friend. The
bridesmaids were Miss Rachel Josephine and Mrs. Dawn Marie Clark, sisters of
the bride; Miss Colleen Catherine Slagle, friend; and Mrs. Elizabeth Holliday
Beville, sister of the groom. Blair Catherine Neuhoff, niece of the groom, was
flowergirl. The best man was Frank William Blankemeyer, father of the groom.
The ushers were Robert David Debo, Michael Vincent Downes, Charles Fredrick
Miller, WilliamLancaster Ball, III, Richard PeterVerrier, III, and William
Bradford Odil, all friends. Ringbearer was Benjamin Richard Clark, nephew of
the bride. The bride wore a chapel length gown of silk taffeta with scalloped
off the shoulder lace bodice adorned with beads andsequins. The fitted sleeves
were of chiffon and lace appliques. Her veil was an heirloom montilla of
Brussels lace. She carred a cascading bouquet of white roses,stephanotis,
gardenias, ivy and Christmas greens. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Peter Verrier of Salem. She is a graduate of Southside Beaver High
School in Hookstown, Pa., andattended Pennsylvania State University. She is
employed by Carilion HealthServices. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank W. Blankemeyer of Roanoke. He is a graduate of Roanoke Catholic High
School and Hampden-Sydney College. He is President of Genesis Financial Group,
Roanoke. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke, after their honeymoon.
