MARQUES-NEUBERT

Karen Kathleen Neubert and Jose Manuel Marques were united in marriage on August 21, 1993 at Kirkpatrick Chapel in New Brunswick, N.J. Rev. Joseph Bodnar was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at the Monmouth Hills Country Club in Highlands, N.J.

Nancy Neubert, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Pam Poff, sister of the bride, Marcia Voges, T. J. Fischer, Martha Good and Madeleine Porcelli. Tony Marques, brother of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Brady Neubert and Michael Neubert, brothers of the bride, Kwame Davis, Bob Grant and John Pereira.

Karen is the daughter of Mrs. Patricia Neubert of Roanoke and the late Mr. John H. Neubert Jr. She is a graduate of Wm. Byrd High School and Virginia Tech and is employed by Sprint. Jose is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pompeu Marques of Union, N.J. Jose is a graduate of Harrison High and New Jersey Institute of Technology, and is employed by Sprint.

Following their wedding trip to Portugal, the newlyweds reside in New York City.
