CLOSE ANNIVERSARY

Alvin W. Close and Martha S. Close, of Stuart, Va., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, December 4, 1993, with dinner at the Farmhouse Restaurant. The couple were married December 6, 1943, in Emporium, Pa., at the First Baptist Church by Rev. Raycroft and Rev. Young. They have three children, Dennis Close, Donna Woods and Steve Close. The celebration was hosted by their son, Dennis Close and wife, Judy Close, and daughter, Donna Woods and husband, Monte Woods. The Close's have 8 grandchildren. The Close's are active members of Trinity Baptist Church of Claudeville, Va.
