OBIT GRAY, MARGIE TURNER
GRAY, Margie Turner, 96, of Vinton, died Saturday, December 4, 1993. She
was retired from the Vinton Post Office, after 25 years of service. She was
the widow of Acree E. Gray and was predeceased by a son, Wayne F. (Jimbo)
Gray. She was a member of the Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church, a
charter member of the Vinton Chapter O.E.S., and a War Mother. Margie is
survived by a son, Wista L. Gray, Roanoke; and a daughter Betty Jo Gray
Wilkerson, of Roanoke County; eleven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. David
Howell and Dr. George Wesley Jones officiating. Interment will be in the
Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
memorials be made to the Roanoke-Salem Chapter of the Alzheimers Association,
P. O. Box 5014, Roanoke, Va. 24012. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel
after 12 noon Sunday.
