OBIT DAVIS, SALLY BELL SHAVER

DAVIS, Sally Bell Shaver, 78, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, December 4, 1993 at Heritage Hall Health Care. Mrs. Davis was born in Montgomery County on May 5, 1915 to the late George T. and Roxie Dove Shaver. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. (Ben) Davis, a son, Russell E. Davis, a sister, Lottie Alls, and two brothers, Sam and Frank Shaver.Surviving are her daughter, Judy F. Radford, Blacksburg; son, Thomas H. Davis, Christiansburg; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Davis, Christiansburg; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. James (Mary Kate) LaFon; four brothers, Clyde Shaver, John Shaver and Sidney Shaver, all of Blacksburg, Rev. E. H. Shaver, Pearisburg. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 6, 1993, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roger N. Rhoads, Rev. N. J. Underwood, and Rev. Wilbur Layne officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
