OBIT SMITH, LORENE MCCAMY

SMITH, Lorene McCamy, 65, of Rt. 1, Dublin, died Sunday, December 5, 1993 in Radford Community Hospital. Born June 27, 1928 in Wise County, she was the daughter of the late Hughie McCamy and Mattie Hurst McCamy. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ellen Smith. She is survived by her husband, George Raymond "Buddy" Smith Jr.; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Lee Smith and Judith Smith, Decatur, Ill.; two granddaughters, Angela Leigh Smith and April Marie Smith, Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Rose Flanery, Dublin, Anna Pearl Meads, Big Stone Gap, Va.; one brother, Arthur McCamy, St. Paul, Va. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Mt. View United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michael Purdy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. View United Methodist Church. Visiting will be Monday after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home.
