OBIT BOOHER, VIRGINIA INEZ GEORGE

BOOHER, Virginia Inez George, 72, of Lake Monticello, died at her home Friday, December 3, 1993. Born June 10, 1921 in Dungannon, Va., she was the daughter of the late R. L. George and Bessie Salyer George. Mrs. Booher was a member of the Effort Baptist Church in Palmyra, Va. She is survived by five daughters, Mary Ann Dingus of Wise, Va., Clara Roberts of Vinton, Va., Helen M. Evans of Lake Monticello, Va., Betty Dale of Gaston, S.C., and Elaine Bailey of Dublin, Va.; one brother, Carl George of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters, Paula Dickerson of Johnson City, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Melanie M. Evans, Kevin L. Evans, Angela Roberts, Cheryl Roberts, Beverlee Dale, Justin Bailey and Adam Bailey. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 6, 1993 in the Hill & Wood Chapel with the Rev. John P. Chandler and Rev. June Clifford officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery in Charlottesville, Va. Memorial donations may be made to the Cardwell Cancer Center, C/O The Development Office, Martha Jefferson Hospital, 459 Locust Ave., Charlottesville, Va. 22902.
