ROANOKE VALLEY ECONOMIC ROUNDUP

The 335 homes sold last month in the Roanoke Valley set a record for November. They also represent a 31.4 percent increase from the 255 homes sold in the year-earlier period.

Anne Lee Stevens, president of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors, said agents have written 261 more home contracts through the first 11 months than they did in all of 1992. Sales contracts are running 12 percent ahead of last year.
