OBIT-COX, FLOYD D.

COX, Floyd D. ,79, of Yorktown, formerly of Rt 2, Vinton, died Saturday, December 4, 1993, in Poquoson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Chloe Ruth Cox; and a son, Thomas Edward Cox. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and John Wirt of Yorktown; 3 grandsons of Wichita, Kansas, and a granddaughter of Newport News; a sister of Ashboro, NC. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1993 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. R. Tyler Burkett officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
