OBIT-COMPTON, RONALD WAYNE

COMPTON, Ronald Wayne, 35, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, December 5, 1993. Wayne was an entertainer and a writer, his interests being music and acting. He gave dedication to all his endeavors, accomplishing many of his dreams. Wayne enjoyed life, having lived it to the fullest, making numerous friends and touching many lives as he followed his dreams, and finding his true love, his wife, Felicia Fawn Compton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Hazel Greer Ferguson, Ferrum; his father, Peter B. Compton, Rocky Mount; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Billy Campbell, Marlene and Richard Young, and Jean and John Millirons, all of Rocky Mount; one stepbrother, Rodney Menefee Ferguson, Roanoke; three nieces, Sherri Campbell, Lisa Preston, Germaine Mommerency and her husband, Eric; four nephews, Steve Hodges and his wife Laurie, Ricky Young, Trevin Millirons and Justin Millirons; two great-nephews, Brandon Michael Dillon and Ryan Alexander Hodges; a great-niece, Stephanie Preston. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1993, at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. R. Quigg Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
