The Town Council voted unanimously Monday to strike a 41-year-old anti-witchcraft ordinance from the books, effective Dec. 16.
"Witchcraft is a life-affirming, legally recognized religion," Diana Scherger told the council.
Town Attorney John Paradee said the law was unconstitutional because witchcraft is a recognized religion.
