OLDEST PERSON IS PARADE MARSHAL

The nation's oldest person will head Radford's Christmas parade Thursday. Margaret Skeete, who turned 115 this fall, is scheduled to be grand marshal for the 7 p.m. event along Norwood and First streets.

The Radford High School Band and more than three dozen other entries will march in the annual parade. In addition, "The Christmas Carts" will collect nonperishable food items for donation to local food banks. The Radford Kiwanis Club is the parade's sponsor. Call 731-3656.
