OBIT GAUBATZ, JOSEPH MICHAEL

GAUBATZ, Joseph Michael, 78, of Rocky Mount, died Monday, December 6, 1993. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother and grandson. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Hazel; one son, Raymond of Glade Hill; daughters, Karen of Lynchburg, Meg of Roanoke, and Donna of Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two more on the way; five brothers, Ed of Indiana, Richard and Jerry of Michigan, Paul of Alabama, and Bob of Callaway; one stepsister, Lillian Bird of Michigan, and many devoted friends included; one special friend, Ruby. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Story Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Corn officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
