OBIT SANDIDGE, SADIE WISEMAN

SANDIDGE, Sadie Wiseman, 81, of Buena Vista, passed away Sunday, December 5, 1993, in Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility after a long illness. She was born in Rockbridge County on January 31, 1912, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Scott Wiseman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Sandidge. She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church and retired from James Lee's & Sons. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Joeleen) Lewis, Buena Vista, Mrs. Hugh (Nancy) Gilliam, Troutville; one son, Harold Sandidge, Staunton; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Coffey and Catherine Coffey, both of Buena Vista; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 1993, at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chip Pendleton officiating. Interment will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
