Members of the Pulaski County Drug Task Force seized more than 20 pounds of high-quality marijuana Sunday evening after serving a search warrant at a home in the town.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of $64,000. No charges have been filed, but police said marijuana, cash, a firearm and other drugs including what appeared to be cocaine, were seized from the home of Orville William ``Dave'' Davis and Pamela Wyatt Davis in the 3800 block of Bob White Boulevard.
The search warrant was the result of an on-going investigation by members of the Drug Task Force over the past several months and information received from a confidential informant.
In conjunction with the investigation, members of the task force went to the residence of Douglas Lee Adams in Hiwassee, where they found and seized more than a pound of marijuana.
Several vehicles will be seized as a result of the investigation, authorities said. Arrests are pending further investigation. Charges likely would not be filed until the next meeting of a county grand jury in February.
The task force is made up of members of the Pulaski and Dublin police departments, the county Sheriff's Office, Virginia State Police and Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement Division. Two narcotic K-9 units, one from the state police and the other from the Sheriff's Office, also helped execute the search warrant.
