TOWN TO TAKE ZONING APPLICATIONS

During January 1994, the town will accept new applications for inclusion in the Agricultural and Forestal District. The district is designed to protect and enhance agricultural lands that have valued natural and ecological resources.

Property owners with Montgomery County land-use value taxation who successfully apply for the Agricultural and Forestal District then will qualify for town land-use value taxation.

Eligible properties include those now being farmed or where forestry is the primary use, but other restrictions apply based on location.
