OBIT CAMPBELL, G. KEEN

CAMPBELL, G. Keen, 73, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 1993 in the Virginia Veterans Care Center. He was born in Reading, Pa. the son of the late Mariam Keen and Lewis H. Campbell. He was a Real Estate Broker, and retired as Vice-President of Waldron Realty Company in 1989. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, a brother of Alpha Zeta Fraternity, and served in the First Infantry Division in World War II. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Penn State Club of Southwestern Virginia, and a life member and past president of the Roanoke Civitan Club. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, the American Red Cross, and the Better Business Bureau. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Campbell; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Geoffrey Edelman of Roswell, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Keen and Jenni Campbell of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Caryn and Jonathan Edelman of Rosewell, Ga., Meghan, Benjamin, and Caylin Campbell of Lynchburg. A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church 11 a.m. by the Rev. James Riach on Friday, December 10. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Covenant Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Good Samaritan Hospice, or Roanoke Civitan Club Unified Playground Project.
