AGENCY TO HELP ELDERLY MAKE FREE HOLIDAY CALLS

LOA Area Agency on Aging is sponsoring free holiday phone calls on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

For the third year, citizens age 60 and older may make free long distance phone calls to anywhere in the world. No reservations are necessary, and the length and number of calls are unlimited, but callers are asked to have telephone numbers ready to avoid using phones to call directory assistance.

"Holiday Call" headquarters is on the 10th floor of the First Union Building, 213 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke.
