Because of an editorial assistant's error, the Hoein' & Growin' column in Thursday's New River Current contained some incorrect information. The M-9 apple rootstock is not also known as an MM-111; however, the M-9 can be used as an interstem between the scion (tree variety) and an MM-111 dwarfing rootstock in a double-grafted configuration that is more disease resistant and productive.

\ Because of an editorial assistant's error, the starting date for next year's YMCA Thrift Shop collections was wrong in a recent New River Current. Collections will resume on Jan. 4.

\ Because of copy editor's error, a meeting of the Blacksburg Planning Commission Tuesday was incorrectly identified in a headline in Tuesday's New River Current as a meeting of the Montgomery Planning Commission. The Blacksburg commission voted to recommend approval of a request to rezone 96 acres off North Main Street and Bishop Road in Blacksburg for a new subdivision.
