Marjorie McKibbin, who has been employed with the Probation and Parole Department in Roanoke since 1981, was placed on leave Monday after the indictment was made final, according to John Rauck, head of the department.
Rauck would not say whether McKibbin's leave is paid or unpaid.
"I've notified my staff that she has been placed on leave until the situation is resolved in court," Rauck said.
Franklin County Commonwealth's Attorney Cliff Hapgood confirmed McKibbin's indictment but said he had no further comment because the case is pending.
McKibbin could not be reached for comment Thursday.
