OBIT-DISHMAN, ETHA VEST

DISHMAN, Etha Vest, 85, of Roanoke, died Thursday, December 9, 1993. She was the widow of William Alger Dishman and a longtime member of the East End Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley L. and William Elkins, Mary D. and Jerry Brickey, Linda Wolfe, all of Roanoke; stepson and wife, Robert L. and Martha Dishman of Loretto, Va.; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Savoy of Springfield, Mass.; a brother, Harry Vest of Roanoke. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, noon Monday, with the Rev. Bill Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
