OBIT-MAXEY, ABBIE VICTORIA

MAXEY, Abbie Victoria, 84, of Boones Mill, passed away Thursday, December 9, 1993. She was the widow of William Coy Maxey and a resident of Boones Mill for 32 years. Mrs. Maxey was a member of Bethany Church of the Brethren in Callaway. Mrs. Maxey is survived by nine sons, Harold A. Maxey of New Castle, Henry W. and Coy M. Maxey of South Bend, Ind., William E. Maxey of Salem, Russell T., Algernon M. and Gary R. Maxey, all of Roanoke, Bobby C. and Johnny W. Maxey both of Boones Mill; three daughters, Beatrice C. Reynolds of Chicago, Ill., Helen S. Preston of Rocky Mount, and Judy G. Maxey of Callaway. Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Maxey was preceded in death by a son, George E. Maxey of Sardis, Tenn. and an infant daughter, Shirley Ann Maxey. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, December 13, 1993, at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Berlin Hanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
