SANDERS, Opal Lee Canode, 65, of Blacksburg, died Friday, December 10, 1993, in Montgomery County Hospital. She is survived by one son, Timothy Leon Sanders, Blacksburg; one daughter Sylvia Greenway, New Castle; three sisters, Rebecca Frances Underwood, Roanoke, Maxine Hart, Annie Bullins both of Asheboro, N.C.; one brother, Shirley Richard Canode, Troutville; five grandsons; five stepbrothers and stepsisters. Funeral will be conducted Sunday, December 12, 1993, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, New Castle. Interment in the Level Green Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Boitnott Funeral Home.
