The open spots include:
A one-year term on the Health District Advisory Board, which advises the health director on department services, programs and plans.
Four positions on the county Parks and Recreation Commission. The supervisors will be appointing an at-large member and representatives from election districts covering northern Blacksburg, Prices Fork and the Longshop and McCoy areas, or Districts F, G and E.
One spot on the Transportation Safety Commission. This group gathers local input and works to recognize and solve highway safety problems.
