EAGLES BOUNCE BENGALS

A third-quarter awakening helped Franklin County overcome a halftime deficit on the way to a 60-51 non-district victory over Bassett in boys' high school basketball.

After trailing 28-24, the Eagles (2-2) came out pressing in the third quarter and outscored Bassett 22-14. Rico Batista scored his six points on two 3-pointers, and Carlos Holland had six of his 11 points in the quarter.

K.C. Hancock's 14 points led the Eagles, and Chad Foutz added 14.

The Bengals (2-3) were led by Logan Copening with 13 points and Art Wade with 10. \
