OBIT GULLEDGE, MRS. ANITA B.

GULLEDGE, Mrs. Anita B., 52, of 212 Ken Street, N.W., Adairsville, Ga., died Tuesday morning, December 14, 1993, at Redmond Regional Medical Center, Rome, Ga., following a lengthy illness. She was born in Fieldale, Virginia, July 15, 1941, daughter of E. Leonard Baker and Kathleen Helton Baker, who survive. She was baptized at the age of 10, at the Fieldale Baptist Church in Fieldale, Virginia. Since moving to Georgia, she attended the Adairsville Church of God. She was a 1983 graduate of Berry College, Rome, Ga., and was employed by the Bartow County School System as a teacher at Cass High School, where she taught Remedial Education with the WAVE program. Survivors include her husband, Jack D. Gulledge, Adairsville, Ga.; one daughter, Cathi Chambley-Miller, Belvedere, S.C.; one son, Phillip W. Chambley Jr., Silver Creek, Ga.; two stepsons, Vincent Gulledge, Calhoun, Ga., Jonathan Gulledge, Adairsville, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Leigh Sellers, Plainville, Ga., Amanda Gulledge, Calhoun, Ga.; parents, Leonard and Kathleen Baker, Fieldale; one sister, Regina B. Jarrett, Spencer; three brothers, L. Douglas Baker, Roanoke, Jeffrey D. Baker, Fieldale, Patrick K. Baker, Fieldale; four stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, from the Adairsville Church of God, with Minister Jack Bailey, the Rev. Richard Harrison and Dr. Bill Kiser officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery, Adairsville. Pallbearers are James Jarrett Jr., Ernest Towney, Lee Wheeler, Mick Pyle, Brian Mascia, and Jody Brown. The family will receive friends at the R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9. At other hours, they will be at the residence. R. Dudley Barton & Son Funeral Home, Adairsville, Ga., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
