OBIT-SISK, ALBERT TAFT
SISK, Albert Taft, 85, of Salem, died Thursday, December 16, 1993, at
Lewis-Gale Hospital. He was retired from Lees McVitty Tannery after 42 years
service. He was a charter member and former deacon of Bethel Baptist Church.
He was an Army World War II veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife,
Mary Elizabeth Sisk. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jean Sisk, Joanne
Sisk Caves; a son-in-law, Buddy L. Caves, all of Salem. A graveside service
will be held Friday, December 17, at 3 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park by the
Rev. R. Stuart Carlton. Contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church
Memorial Fund, 1601 Colorado St., Salem, Va. 24153, or the Salem Volunteer
Rescue Squad. John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, is handling
arrangements.
