OBIT HOGAN, SARAH RUCKER

HOGAN, Sarah Rucker, 73, of Bedford, passed away Friday, December 17, 1993 at her residence. She was born June 6, 1920 in Fincastle, a daughter of the late Allen Richard Rucker and Susie Elizabeth Slusser Rucker. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Edward Hogan; six sons, John E. Hogan, Ohio, James D. Hogan, Eagle Rock, Jerry L. Hogan, Jack R. Hogan, Joe W. Hogan, Bobby L. Hogan, all of Roanoke; two daughters, Melody H. Jennings, Forest, Cathy Sue Marsh, Madison Heights, two brothers, Bille Rucker, Moneta, Dennis Rucker, Hardy, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday, December 19, 1993 at 3 p.m. from the Holy Land USA Cemetery, Bedford, by the Rev. Billie Boggs. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
