OBIT HAMBY, CHARLES BYRD

HAMBY, Charles Byrd, 82 of Blacksburg, passed away Thursday, December 16, 1993 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a member of Virginia May Masonic Lodge #38 A.F & A.M. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. G. R. ("Nancy") Roberts of Bristol, Tenn. and Mrs. Michael ("Cathy") Akers of Blacksburg; two grandchildren, Barry Roberts and Lee Anne Roberts and one great-grandson, Levi Coldiron. Graveside services will be held Sunday December 19, 1993, 2 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, with the Rev. Joe Green officiating. Members of Virginia May Masonic Lodge #38 A.F & A.M. will conduct Masonic graveside rites. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to either the Radford Rescue Squad or the Blacksburg Rescue Squad. Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford in charge of arrangements.
