ACTRESS JANET MARGOLIN DIES

Janet Margolin, an actress with a string of roles in the 1960s and '70s, including parts in two Woody Allen movies, died Friday at her home in Los Angeles. She was 50.

The cause was ovarian cancer, a cousin, Ruth Malin, said.

Margolin starred as an emotionally disturbed teen-ager in the movie "David and Lisa" (1962) and as Woody Allen's girlfriend, Louise, in "Take the Money and Run" (1969). She also played one of Allen's former wives in "Annie Hall" (1977).

In 1979, she played opposite Roy Scheider in "Last Embrace," directed by Jonathan Demme. She most recently had a small role in "Ghostbusters II" (1989).
