SCHOOL SITE IS CENTER CONTENDER

The Spiller Elementary School property in Wytheville is a contender for a Wellness/Community Center site proposed by the town and Wythe County Community Hospital. The county School Board has been asked to consider selling the site to the town, and has agreed to study the request. The buildings which make up the school complex are divided by Tazewell Street. Kindergarten and the first three grades are on one side, along with the offices, library and cafeteria, and fourth-grade classes are on the other side.
