OBIT LEECH, MILDRED PAINTER
LEECH, Mildred Painter, 78, of Glasgow, died Sunday, December 19, 1993, at
Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Rockbridge Co., June 13, 1915, she was the
daughter of the late William Thomas Painter and Rosalee Scott Painter. Mrs.
Leech was retired from Burlington Industries after 40 years service and was a
member of Glasgow Presbyterian Church, Womens Circle #2, Glasgow Fireman
Auxiliary, and the Glasgow Womens Club. Surviving are husband, Harry W. Leech,
Glasgow; daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Jim Rigatti, Roanoke, Va.; son
and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Mary Lou Leech, Manassas, Va.; sister, Mrs.
Bessie P. Slough, Glasgow, Va.; brother, William Franklin (Frank) Painter,
Glasgow, Va.; four grandchildren, Robert and Tara Rigatti, Roanoke, Dina and
Denise Leech, Manassas. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December
21, 1993, at 3 p.m. from the Glasgow Presbyterian Church, with Rev. William K.
Leach and Rev. William Thomas officiating, with burial in Glasgow Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Glasgow First Aid
Crew, the Glasgow Firemans Auxiliary, or the Glasgow Presbyterian Church. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Harrison Funeral
Home, Lexington.
