OBIT JOYCE, GEORGE THOMAS

JOYCE, George Thomas, ("Tom"), 80, of Rt. 2, Ridgeway, died Monday, December 20, 1993 in a Martinsville hospital. Surviving are his wife, Alvaretta Pratt Joyce; two sons, the Rev. Thomas L. Joyce, Salem, William P. Joyce, Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen J. Baker, Mrs. Roy (Elfie J.) Cruise, Virginia Joyce, all of Ridgeway; three brothers, Harvey D. Joyce, Martinsville, Charlie Otis Joyce, and Edward Joyce, both of Ridgeway; four grandchildren, Thomas Cameron Joyce, Kevin Franklin Joyce, David Christopher Joyce, and Kimberly Marie Joyce. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, from the McKee Funeral Chapel, Martinsville. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ridgeway. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at McKee Funeral Home and at other times at home, Rt. 2, Ridgeway.
