OBIT RANKIN, HELEN VIRGINIA

RANKIN, Helen Virginia, ("Gin"), 69, of Rt. 2, Max Meadows, died Monday, December 20, 1993, at her residence. She was born in Wythe County and was a member of the Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee H. Rankin. She was a salesperson at Aileen's. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and James (Buckshot) Eversole of Rt. 1, Max Meadows, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Donna Jean Rankin of Rt. 6, Galax; two sisters, Jettie Viars, Ruby Dean both of Max Meadows, Va.; three grandchildren, Jimmy Dunford Jr., Tana Eversole, Scotty Rankin. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1 p.m. at the Poplar Camp Church of God of Prophecy. Interment will follow in the Rankin Cemetery. The body will be moved to the church one hour before service time. The family will receive friends at the Reese Funeral Home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. or at the residence of her sister, Jettie Viars, at anytime. Reese Funeral Home is Austinville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
