LOA Area Agency on Aging is offering a free insurance counseling program to help senior citizens understand changes in Medicare premiums and deductibles for 1994.
Counselors trained by the State Corporation Commission Bureau of Insurance are available to to answer questions about Medicare, Medicaid, "Medigap" insurance, and Long-Term Care insurance for persons over 60 and their caregivers.

\ Sorority dinner-dance planned for New Year's
Xi Epsilon Delta will hold its 20th annual New Year's Eve dinner and dance Dec. 31 at Holiday Inn-Tanglewood.
The all-you-can-eat buffet is from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m., and the dance is from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. with music by The Kings. Tickets are $85 a couple for the formal event.
Proceeds from the dinner and dance will benefit various Roanoke Valley service projects of the sorority.
Previously, Xi Epsilon Delta has made Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for the needy, contributed to disaster relief funds locally and nationally, provided funding for the neo-natal unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, and donated clothing to the Salvation Army's battered women's shelter.
