PEMBROKE BRANCH GETS NEW OWNER

The National Bank of Blacksburg has reached an agreement with First Union National Bank of Virginia to purchase First Union's Pembroke branch office. The staff at the Pembroke branch will remain employed at the branch when National Bank of Blacksburg takes over in 1994.
