HOOPS-FREDAY

Melinda Jane Hoops and Raymond Eric Freday are engaged and planning to be married on September 3, 1994, in Roanoke, Virginia. She is the daughter of Pauline F. Hoops of Daleville, Va. and the late Billy Joe Hoops. She graduated from Lord Botetourt High School in 1986 and Radford University in December, 1993, with a BS degree in Human Development. She is employed at The Downtown Learning Center, a Division of Community Hospital.

Ray is the son of Norma J. Freday of Roanoke, Virginia and the late Leonard Russell (Russ) Freday. He graduated from William Fleming High School in 1983. He is employed by E.G. O'Connor Contracting.
