PAINTER-CROSS

Judith Marie Cross and Michael Huffman Painter were united in marriage on December 18, 1993, at First United Methodist Church, Salem, Virginia. The Reverend James Holloman and the Reverend Dr. Harris Kesler officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The maid of honor was Lisa Woods, of Salem, Virginia. The bridesmaids were CeCe Angleberger, Jeanne Koch, Jessica Phillips, Jennifer LeLacheur. The best man was Jack Chudovan of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The groomsmen were A. Rawles Cross and Griffin A. Cross, brothers of the bride and David Heller and Jeff Raff. The junior groomsman was Clayton A. Cross, brother of the bride. A reception followed the ceremony at Monterey, home of Mrs. Richard Burke, great-aunt of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen R. Cross of Salem, Virginia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Page Painter of Luray, Virginia, formerly of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

The bride is a graduate of Salem High School and James Madison University. She is employed in the Roanoke City Schools. The groom is a graduate of Gettysburg High School and James Madison University. He is in graduate studies at Virginia Tech. Following a Christmas cruise in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in the Roanoke Valley.
