COON ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Coon celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, December 19, 1993. The celebration was held at Cave Spring United Methodist Church. It was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Bill Burkert, of Blue Ridge. The couple were married December 24, 1943, at the Parsonage at Cave Spring. They have lived at their present address for 45 years. She is the former Carrie Fisher. Mr. Coon is retired from the VA Medical Center in Salem with over 44 years of service. Mrs. Coon is retired from the Roanoke County Schools cafeteria. They are members of Cave Spring United Methodist Church.
