OBIT-DELP, EDITH PATTON

DELP, Edith Patton, 85, of Route 4, Galax, passed away Saturday, December 25, 1993 in the Twin County Community Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Garnett A. Delp of Galax; a daughter and son-in-law, Opal Delp and Earl Lyon of Hillsville; sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Winnie Delp, Carl and Virginia Delp, all of Galax; a sister, Effie Lauffer of Sparta, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday 2 p.m. from the Calvary Church of Christ with the Rev. Bill Davis, Everett Cox and Dr. William Gunter officiating with burial in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday evening from 7 until 9. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax is handling the arrangements.
