BOLES, Peggy Rector, 60, of Redwood, passed away Sunday, December 26, 1993
following a long, brave battle against cancer. Peggy was a long time member of
Furnace Creek Baptist Church and was the cornerstone of the family business.
She was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Altice Rector. She is
survived by her devoted husband, Percy Douglas Boles; three loving daughters
and sons-in-law, Deborah B. and Aubrey Wray, Teresa B. and Barry Hale, Donna
B. and William Daniel (Danny) Thornton, all of Redwood; three special
grandchildren, Stephen Douglas Wray, Lindsay Diana Wray and her precious Gina
Lee Hale, all of Redwood; three sisters, Ruby R. Frye, Redwood, Dorothy R.
McMinnis and Shirley R. Cooper, both of Rocky Mount; one half brother, Leo
Rector, Fla.; one half sister, Lou R. Harlan, Staunton; a special
brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wesley and Ruby Lee Boles; five nephews;
three nieces; four great-nephews; two great-nieces. Funeral services will be
conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Floyd Boles
and the Rev. Troy Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial
Park. The family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday with the family receiving friends from 7
to 9 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main St., Rocky Mount.
