OBIT OSBORNE, CARL R.

OSBORNE, Carl R., 87, of Route 1, Mt. View Community, Dublin, Va., passed away Thursday, December 23, 1993, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert T. (Elizabeth) Price of Buchanan, Va. Born February 21, 1906, in Ash County, N. C., he was the son of the late David Preston Osborne and Maggie Graybeal Osborne Bentley Bromfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Osborne. He was a member of the Emanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Ocala, Fla. He was a retired coal minter and a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Annie May Moore Osborne, four daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Lorina) Young, Dublin, Va., Mrs. Oscar (Katherine) Jacobs, Greensboro, N. C., Mrs. Melvin (Arbidean) Phillips, Silver Springs, Fla.; Mrs. Robert T. (Elizabeth) Price, Buchanan, Va., two sons, Carl Lee Osborne, Roanoke, Boyd Edison Osborne, Hurt, Va. The funeral service will be held Tuesday 2 p.m. from the Dublin Pentecostal Holiness Church, Dublin, Va., with the Rev. John W. Hash, Rev. Boyd Edison Osborne and Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow in the Appalachian Pentecostal Holiness Conference Cemetery, Dublin. The family will receive friends at the church til the hour of service. Bower Funeral Chapel, Dublin, is handling the arrangements.
