Smith, a two-time all-conference performer, was a co-captain for a young Greensboro squad that finished second in both the regular season and league tournament. She was named to the conference's all-tournament squad. Earlier in the season, she was selected to an all-tournament team at Mary Washington College.
A setter, Smith led the team with 715 assists (7.0 per game) and posted a team-high attack-percentage of .290. Smith has 2,271 assists in her career and should become Greensboro's all-time assist leader next season.
Smith was also named the most valuable player on the Greensboro tennis team last season. Despite never having played tennis competitively, Smith filled in for an injured player and finished the season with the team's best won-lost record.
A business administration major, Smith plans a career in sports management after graduation next year.
At Radford High, Smith played volleyball for John Pierce, who was recently named the head coach at Radford University.
