Judge John Onion Jr. gave prosecutors 10 days to make the four other indictments more specific. An attorney for Hutchison, Lewis Dickson, argued that the allegations were so vague that attorneys couldn't plan a defense, and Onion agreed.
Hutchison was indicted Dec. 8, accused of using her former office of state treasurer for political and personal purposes, then destroying records in a cover-up.
The Republican senator has denied wrongdoing and claims the allegations are part of a Democratic plot to hurt her 1994 re-election bid.
