Here's a new twist for Dick Clark.

The 64-year-old former host of that rock 'n' roll institution, "American Bandstand," is looking for country dancers.

Dick Clark Productions has issued a call for people who dance country-style for "Hot Country Jam," to be taped next week at the Acuff Theater at Opryland USA.

The country music special is to air in February on NBC.

How good must a country dancer be?

"Not very," said production manager Patricia Branan. "It's just supposed to be fun."

Clark was host of "American Bandstand" from 1956 to 1989. It went off the air a few weeks after he did.

Smells like teen spirit - in the body of a 48-year-old rocker. Neil Young, the godfather of modern-day grunge, veteran of Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and a prolific solo artist, is Spin magazine's Artist of the Year.

"Right now, everybody thinks I'm great. But I've been there before," Young told the magazine. "Being willing to give up success in the short run ensures a long run."
