OBIT WILLIAMSON, STEVE LEE
WILLIAMSON, Steve Lee, Sr. 52, of Route 1, Montvale, died Monday, December
27, 1993 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Montvale on October 14,
1941, a son of Elsie Garrett Williamson of Montvale and the late John Broaddus
Williamson, Jr. He was an employee of Rubatex Corporation, an independent home
builder, and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his mother,
he is survived by his wife, Barbara Welch Williamson; a son, Steve Lee
Williamson Jr., Germantown, Md; a daughter, Carol Lynette Williamson,
Montvale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy G. and Kathy Williamson, Montvale,
John B. Williamson, III and Marilee Williamson, Buchanan, Carol Welch,
Montvale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue W. and Robert Foster, Montvale,
Evelyn W. and Edward Craig, Salem, Sallie L. Williamson and Pam Meador, both
of Roanoke; mother-in-law, Stella Welch, Roanoke; an aunt, Mildred Alphin,
Florida. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 30, 1993, 11
a.m. at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Elmer W. Sellers
officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Union Church Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Carder-Tharp
Funeral Home, Bedford.
